Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you when you use this website or contact us directly.
The General Data Protection Regulation
The General Data Protection Regulation 2016 requires us to manage personal information in accordance with Data Protection Principles and in particular requires us to process your personal information fairly and lawfully. This means you are entitled to know how we intend to use any information you provide. You can then decide whether you want to give it to us in order that we may provide the product or service that you require.
All our employees are personally responsible for maintaining customer confidentiality and will do their utmost to keep all data accurate, timely and secure. We provide training and education to all employees to remind them about their obligations.
What information do we collect about you?
We collect information about you when you enquire about, or place an order for, the services we provide. Website usage information is collected using cookies - please see our Cookie Policy for more information.
If you are asked to give personal information via this website, such as for example your name, address, phone number or email address, you will be informed of how this information will be used before you submit it.
What information do we collect about your customers?
When carrying out email marketing activities on your behalf, your own clients’ data is required to enable delivery of this service. You may also wish to capture mailing list data via a website we have built for you. We do not collect, handle or store this information - data capture, import and subsequent storage are performed directly through Mailchimp, a third-party provider, and governed by their own Privacy Policy (we can point you towards this on request). We will instruct you on how to import or export data directly with this provider.
We may need to access areas where your clients’ data is held to enable our service to you or to carry out technical maintenance. We only access these areas for the time required to perform our task and only following your express consent. We never export, copy or otherwise record this data.
When carrying out social media management or Pay-Per-Click advertising, we may be able to see information about your followers. What information is visible on social media platforms is controlled by the individual user and covered by the individual platforms’ Privacy Policies (which we can point you towards on request). We may supply you with copies of standard activity reports which do not identify individuals; we never export, copy or otherwise record specific information about individual followers.
How will we use the information about you?
We will use your data to answer enquiries or provide you with the service you have requested. We do not share your information with third parities for marketing purposes. In performing the services you require, we may use third-party providers (e.g. Mailchimp for sending bulk emails) whose set-up and usage may require elements of your data. We will only use this data following your express consent. Such providers have their own policies in place to govern any handling of data within their own product or service. We can point you towards these polices on request.
We do not actively market to our customers but may on occasion contact you to make you aware of services directly related to the service we provide you. You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for any reason. If you no longer wish to be contacted, please email info@trumpetwebdesign.co.uk.
How long will the information be stored for?
We will store the information in a secure and protected environment for as long as necessary to provide the service you have requested from us. In addition, legislation might oblige us to store information for a certain period of time.
